Telstra's Next G: works better in more lifts?

Tech journos from Allure Media, which publishes titles such as Gizmodo and Lifehacker, got stuck in a lift, with iPhone 4's connected to Telstra working normally,  a BlackBerry Bold 9700 on Optus fluctuating between 3G and GPRS and no signal from Vodfaone, with Next G the winner.

New 'policy control and subscriber data management platforms' from Nokia Siemens have been installed into Telstra's Next G network, delivering 'optimised traffic based on a set of business rules' while being able to manage 'customer profiles in real time' with highly scalable equipment, but doesn't clearly spell out what 'new and innovative customer services' we can all expect!

T-Touch Tab: the anti-iPad works nicely for the price

Telstra has launched its 'entry-level' tablet computer, the T-Touch Tab, aiming to conquer the mass market through a basic but workable tablet experience and cheap pricing that is so similar yet so different to the iPad it's clear why they're at opposite ends of what is fast becoming a very profitable scale.
