NewSat has announced progress on previously announced plans to raise almost $US400m in loan funding for its planned Jabiru-1 satellite, and revealed plans to raise $US200m in new equity to fully fund the project to completion.
Pre-launch contracts for the Jabiru satellite to be launched by Australian satellite company, NewSat, have rocketed upwards to US$571 million with today's signing of a new $13 million contract with a United States-based satellite communications company.
