Huawei Australia has lashed out at Macquarie Telecom group executive Luke Clifton for calling on Australian telecom network operators to follow Macquarie’s example and remove all Chinese made equipment from their networks.
NBN Co says it has achieved or exceeded its National Broadband Network construction targets for 25 consecutive months by more than 230,000 premises, making 11.73 million premises ready to connect by 30 June this year.
An academic, who was part of the advisory panel for the NBN for the Labor Party, says Australia is now in a diabolical position as far as its broadband network goes, despite all the self-congratulatory rhetoric about how the network has been delivered on time and how it is holding up under the strain of extra traffic due to people working from home.
