Non-profit consumer action group Digital Tasmania has decried the fact that a $5.2 million investment to upgrade mobile services in Tasmania's west coast region has been limited to just one mobile operator – Telstra.
Complaints about internet services replaced complaints over mobile services as the most complained about service type in the last financial year, according to the latest Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman report.
Regional users of Optus services are being offered three months free plan fees on selected new mobile services.
