Network visualisation and interconnectivity provider Megaport, the Brisbane-based company started by serial entrepreneur Bevan Slattery, has laid the foundations for a major expansion in the European market with the acquisition of companies in Germany and Bulgaria.
US data centre company Cologix has deployed Megaport’s software defined networking (SDN) fabric in its data centres in major US and Canadian markets.
Megaport says it is "the global leader in software defined networking based elastic interconnection", and "taking you from any location, to any service, on your terms", with a very impressive list of customers to whom the company already provides services.
Take comfort in that when it takes 2 hours to watch a 90 minute movie on Netflix.
