Macquarie Telecom Group's Macquarie Data Centres and Macquarie Government businesses have launched the Intellicentre 5 (IC5) data centre in Canberra to house the most highly classified Australian Government workloads.

Macquarie Data Centres expects to spend an additional $50 million and to create hundreds of new jobs as a result of a "significant customer win" following today’s announcement it has entered into a contract for the provision of approximately 10MW of capacity (IT Load) at its Macquarie Park Data Centre Campus.
