Large multinational technology vendor Lenovo has issued a global recall for the 5th generation Lenovo Carbon X1 notebook.
Lenovo has found a backdoor in two of its switches that could give an attacker access to the switch management interface and allow settings to be changed, expose traffic and also effect a partial or complete denial of service.
Canonical, the company behind the Ubuntu GNU/Linux distribution, has disabled downloads of its latest version, 17.10, released in October, due to reports of it corrupting the BIOS on some laptops, mainly Lenovo models.
