If the American technology news site ZDNet wishes to write about Linux malware, nobody on this planet (or even an alien) can stop it from doing so. But being one of the bigger tech sites in existence, it would do well to have a closer look at what it publishes instead of providing fodder for people to poke fun at it.

Ransomware that uses SSH brute-force attacks to gain access to Linux-based network-attached storage systems has been spotted by the security firm Intezer.

Researchers from security firm Intezer Labs say they have found malware, which they have named HiddenWasp, that targets Linux systems and is not detected by most anti-virus engines.
