Sale of some iPhone models may be barred in US

Apple may have to stop selling some iPhone models in the US if a judgment that found it had infringed on two patents owned by multinational semiconductor and telecommunications equipment company Qualcomm is enforced.

Telecommunications retail service provider Australian Private Networks — trading as Activ8me —  has paid a penalty of $12,600 after the competition watchdog, the ACCC issued an infringement notice for alleged false and misleading representations.

Both iiNet CEO Michael Malone and AFACT Executive Director Neil Gane summed the trial and appeal perfectly in two short quotes.  Both demonstrate that AFACT was chasing the wrong target.
