Motorola ships slim phone with e-paper screen

Motorola has begun shipping Motofone F3, its 9mm-thick slimline handset with an 'electronic paper' display. Debuting today in India, the handset will roll out in other markets in the coming weeks, the company said.

TCS wins US$90 million Qantas deal

Indian IT services provider Tata Consultancy Services, has signed a seven-year deal with an expected value of around A$120 Million (US$90 million) with Australian flagship airline Qantas to provide a range of IT application, transformation and maintenance services. The Qantas contract is the largest single agreement awarded to an Indian outsourcing company in Australia to date.

Looks like the Indian Union Minister for IT and Communications, Dayanidhi Maran’s wish is finally coming true. Two years ago when he became the Minister, he passionately urged Indian firms to be proud of their Indian foundation and said this should be reflected in the country code based Internet domain address which was “co.in” at that time.
