Technology analyst firm IDC says it expects the market for personal computing devices — traditional PCs, tablets and workstations — will grow 3.3.% year-on-year in 2020, with 425.7 million units shipped.
COVID-19 related threats are the single largest type of threat in the first half of this year, according to one security firm which says it blocked 8.8 million COVID-19 related threats, nearly 92% of which were spam delivered via emails.
Global sales of smartphones fell by a fifth (20.4%) in the second quarter of the year, the technology research firm Gartner says, adding that this meant only 295 million units were sold during the period.
