An international ‘bug superhighway’ capable of carrying a large variety of environmentally destructive overseas insects into Australia, has been identified in a study led by Monash University.
Australia’s competition regulator the ACCC has granted interim authorisation for members of the Australian Securitisation Forum (ASF) to work together to assist smaller lenders to maintain liquidity and issue loans to consumers and small businesses during the “economic disruption” caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Australian Greens have accused the Federal Government of dropping the ball in response to the ACCC’s digital platforms inquiry, and say the government must implement urgent media reforms if Australian media is to ”play on” after the COVID-19 crisis.
