Google says it has added new guidelines to take a tougher stance on YouTube videos that have "hateful content", use family entertainment characters in an inappropriate way and "incendiary and demeaning content".
Google seems to be taking advantage of the kerfuffle over YouTube ads appearing on videos that are deemed unsuitable to quietly demonetise news sites that are not mainstream.
