Australia's second biggest telco Singtel Optus has teamed up with Swedish telecommunications equipment provider Ericsson to make what it claims is the world's first 2300 + 3500MHz 5G non-standalone carrier aggregation call.
Clinching 99 commercial 5G agreements or contracts with unique operators appears to have done little for the bottom line of Swedish telecommunications equipment vendor Ericsson in the second quarter of 2020, with the company just about managing to match its revenue in the corresponding quarter of 2019.
Indonesian mobile service provider XL Axiata has chosen Swedish telecommunications provider Ericsson to deploy a 5G-ready cloud core technology solution in the east of the country, including Ericsson Cloud Packet Core and Network Functions Virtualisation Infrastructure.
This is an unbearably good headline :-)
