Australia’s ICT sector continues to offer little short-term hope for job-seeking executives with a new report on executive employment revealing that the jobs index lost 5% in June after a 6% retraction in May.
The ICT sector has streaked ahead of all other business and industry sectors in April, with demand for executives in the sector rising by 33% – a third straight quarter of gains.
Demand for executives in the ICT sector plummeted in October for the third consecutive month in contrast to the continuing trend in other sectors of the Australian economy where demand rose by 9% nationally.
