Demand for executives in the ICT sector declined slightly in March compared to February as national demand across all industry sectors fell by 2%, with executive search firm EL Consult cautioning that Australia’s economy faces some “mild headwinds”.
The IT sector has been falling by the wayside in the executive demand stakes over recent times, with demand for execs falling in December and now January.
The year ahead is looking promising for ICT executives on the market for a new job or looking to reboot their career, with the latest executive demand index showing the sector has significantly reversed previous declines in demand.
