Safety first for NEC comms installation

Australia’s National Safety Agency (NSA) has selected an NEC integrated voice and data communications platform which it says will underpin one of the most advanced law enforcement vehicle packages in the world.

LeasePlan selects Verizon for 30-country comms deal

Fleet and vehicle management group, LeasePlan, has contracted Verizon to provide all of the company’s global communications services, including in its Australian business, in a deal which will link more than six thousand of its employees across 30 countries.

In a colourful speech today, Allan Asher, the new CEO of the Australian Communications Consumers Action Network (ACCAN) has given telco service providers a tongue lashing. He warned that they risk having their reputations publicly questioned in the media by the new telecoms consumer peak body if they don't pick up their game.
