Tasmanian electricity transmission and distribution network provider TasNetworks has selected networking systems and services vendor Ciena to address rising bandwidth requirements driven by IoT, 5G and data centre services.
Australian telecommunications company Vocus Group has announced a major step forward in its Future State program with the appointment of Arista Networks, Ciena's Blue Planet and DGIT Systems as partners to deliver the program.
Telstra says it has launched a new service on its busiest subsea cable routes in Asia, to ensure continuous connections. The service has been started in collaboration with Ericsson and Ciena.
