iiNet - the Federal Court defence begins

iiNet, the Australian ISP under attack from the Australian Federation Against Copyright Theft (AFACT) for allegedly not doing enough to prevent piracy over its network, says its defence in the Federal Court has finally begun.

Windows 7 performance whoops Vista and XP

The latest Windows 7 6965 build has been tested by ZDNet’s Adrian Kingsley-Hughes, and his results show that Microsoft’s promise of a vastly improved Windows experience in Windows 7 is coming true – despite 6956 not even yet at official “beta” status.

BitTorrent, the company that maintains the peer-to-peer Internet file sharing protocol of the same name, has partnered with Israel based caching solutions provider Oversi, to deliver an integrated P2P solution for ISPs. The companies claim the solution will deliver reduced bandwidth costs, deferred infrastructure investments and a higher quality subscriber experience.
