ACCC appeals court decision on TPG prepayments

The competition regulator, the ACCC, has appealed a Federal Court decision against telecommunications provider TPG for alleged false or misleading representations it made about ‘pre-payments’ customers had to make on its pre-paid internet, home telephone and mobile plans.

Australia’s competition regulator the ACCC says it has given price certainty for legacy wholesale telecommunications services with its decision to maintain existing price and non-price terms until 30 June 2024 for seven declared, or regulated, fixed line services.
