Could you be Australia's Top Geek?

Major ISP iiNet is on the hunt to find the country's Top Geek - launching a competition to celebrate geek chic. The iiNet Top Geek search will see geeks from all walks of life embrace their talents and compete for the title and major prize - an all expenses paid trip to the United States to attend one of four 'geek' events including Comic Con, Consumer Electronic Show, South by Southwest or Penny Arcade Expo.

iPad 2 coming in February?

Reports from Taiwan are that Foxconn Electronics, one of Apple's key suppliers, will be shipping around 500,000 iPad 2.0's in February 2011. Given that Apple is shipping around 1 million iPads per month it looks like  iPad 2 will suffer similar shipping backlogs to the first version of Apple's 'magical' tablet.

Pre-natal mobile phone use leads to naughty kids

Danish research has identified a potential link between mobile phone use by pregnant mums and their children, linking this to the development of behavioural problems. According to the study, children exposed to mobile phones before birth and who used phones before the age of 7 were 50% more likely to have behavioural problems, while those who were exposed to mobile phones only before birth had a 40% increased likelihood of behavioural problems.
