Ericsson and Switzerland’s largest telecommunications service provider, Swisscom, have partnered to switch on what they say is the first large-scale commercial 5G network in Europe to support commercially available smartphones.
South Korean telco KT — formerly known as Korea Telecom — has awarded Swedish telecommunications equipment maker Ericsson a 5G commercial contract to enable the nationwide launch of commercial 5G services in South Korea starting early in April 2019.
Optus has released the first details of its 5G Home Broadband service which is underpinned by a plan to deliver 1200 5G sites by March 2020.
