Wolfenstein: The New Order includes DOOM beta

By

Yep, those recesses of your brain that indicate you have heard the term Wolfenstein before are gnawing at your consciousness correctly.  Wolfenstein 3D began the First Person Shooter genre (well, popularised it at least) and returns this year in the form of Wolfenstein: The New Order.  Click on through for a video and the news of the inclusion of another shooter franchise resurrection in the form of DOOM with every pre-order.

Wolfenstein: The New Order hits virtual and real store shelves on May 22nd (in Australia and New Zealand, May 20th elsewhere).

Currently under development at MachineGames, Wolfenstein: The New Order reignites the franchise widely recognized for pioneering the first-person shooter genre. Set in the 1960s, the monstrous Nazi regime has used mysterious advanced technology to win World War II. They now rule the globe with an iron fist. Wolfenstein: The New Order sends you across Europe on a harrowing mission to bring down the Nazi war machine.

The game will arrive on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC platforms and those with pre-orders of the game being rewarded with access codes for the enticing and mysteriously announced DOOM Beta

What is the DOOM Beta? – well our friends at Bethesda are just saying “We will be providing more information on the specific content and duration of the beta test at a later time.”

Building dark fibre network infrastructure using WDM technology used to be considered a complex challenge that only carriers have the means to implement.

This has led many enterprises to build passive networks, which are inferior in quality and ultimately limit their future growth.

Why are passive solutions considered inferior? And what makes active solutions great?

Read more about these two solutions, and how PacketLight fits into all this.
