VIDEO: Apple's Carpool Karaoke, Season 1, goes free on Apple TV app

If you have an Apple TV, or an iPhone or iPad with the Apple TV app, then season one of Carpool Karaoke is ready to break into song for thee – freely!

If you've been curious about Apple's Carpool Karaoke show, but didn't want to pay for a subscription to see it as yet, a way to legally watch freely has arrived.

That's because Apple has decided to make the episodes from Season 1 of the show available free from the Apple TV app, which can be downloaded to iPads and iPhones, and is on the last two recent Apple TV models.

Now, unlike Netflix, all the episodes won't be available to watch immediately.

Apple says that "each following Saturday at 8am AEST, more episodes from Season 1 will be available to watch for free".

Interestingly, there is no Apple TV app for Macs of any kind, which is a shame. Maybe Apple will decide to make such an app for Macs in the future.

So, for those unaware about Apple's version of Carpool Karaoke: The Series, we're told that the show lets you "go on a star-studded, song-filled car ride".

"Each episode of Carpool Karaoke: The Series features celebrity pairings — from Alicia Keys and John Legend to Billy Eichner and Metallica — sharing a car, singing along to their personal playlists, and embarking on adventures."

Apple made a "brand new promo highlighting all of your favourite musicians, athletes and superstars", which you can see at YouTube here and which is embedded below.
