Steam sale details leaked

Prepare your wallets - an email sent to Steam developers from Valve appears to have leaked the dates for the upcoming Autumn and Christmas sales.

Steam is the premier PC gaming store and for good reason - massive discounts paired with really great communication features and a wide collection.

A leaked email from a Russian developer claims that Steam's Autumn Sale will run from Wednesday 27 November until Tuesday 3 December.

The Christmas Sale meanwhile will run from Thursday 19 December until Thursday 2 January.

The leaked message also revealed two types of discounts. Duration discounts are good for the entire promotional period while the temporary promo discounts are applied through flash sales, daily deals and customer voting.

You can see a copy of the leaked email here.

Valve is currently prepping three products - Steam OS, Steam Machine and a Steam Controller. The company recently confirmed Half Life 3 wouldn't be exclusive to Steam OS, telling IGN "You won’t see an exclusive killer app for SteamOS from us. We’re not going to be doing that kind of thing."

More info on the upcoming Steam OS can be found at Steam's page for it here.
