New Halo 3 stuff arrives

A Halo 3 themed devices and a new Xbox 360 hit town as does a life sized Master Chief candle.

Still a week away from a software release, already we are stepping onto the Halo 3 hype treadmill.

First off the conveyor belts are two themed Halo 3 wireless Xbox 360 controllers.  Featuring Spartan with Master Chief or Covenant Brute themes, as designed by legendary “Spawn” comic book creator Todd McFarlane.

The fade- and scratch-resistant controllers also come with a Limited Edition "Halo 3" Master Chief figurine designed by McFarlane himself for AU$89.95 RRP.

Plus, for AU$69.95 RRP, the Spartan green and gold Xbox 360 Limited Edition Halo 3 Wireless Headset provides the mobility and communication essential for soldiers in their fight against the Covenant. Both the
Halo 3 controllers and headset will be available from 20 September.
Connect up your new controllers to the new Halo 3 Special Edition Xbox 360 Console at AU$679.95.  Spartan green and gold finish, matching Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, Xbox 360 20GB Hard Drive, Xbox 360 Headset, Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit, and exclusive Halo 3 Gamer Pics and Theme available via Xbox LIVE download. Xbox 360 Halo 3 Special Edition Console will be available for a limited time and presale demand has been incredible

Meanwhile the Master Chief himself has a date with the tape measure, a large melted cauldron of candles and Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas.  The Master Chief has been immortalized as the first video game character to be enshrined at the world famous attraction. Measuring 7'2" in height, the impressively life-sized figure of Halo's Master Chief was revealed to the world by song-writer and bass player Pete Wentz of Grammy nominated band Fall Out Boy – and massive Halo fan - at an official unveiling ceremony Saturday afternoon.

"Master Chief is the first computer gaming personality immortalised by Madame Tussauds in our 250 year history - recognising the 'celebrity' of the Halo series that we had to capture", commented Adrian Jones, General Manager for Madame Tussauds Las Vegas.

Launching on the 25th of September, Halo 3 is poised to further the legacy of its ancestors by becoming one of the fastest selling video games of all time.
