How to watch the 2017 Melbourne Cup online FREE

If you want to watch the Melbourne Cup, and you're nowhere near a TV or a TAB, then you catch watch from your smartphone or tablet, and at around 3 minutes long, you won't ruin your data limit.

Watching the Melbourne Cup is an Australian tradition – after all, it isn't called "The Race That Stops A Nation" for nothing!

Today, in 2017, we now have a myriad of wonderful ways to watch video online, but when it comes to the Melbourne Cup 2017, there are two surefire ways to watch the horses bolt for victory.

Of course, there can be only one winner, but those two winning ways to watch the live stream are simple: Twitter and the Channel 7 live stream, be it via the Channel 7 website, or via the Channel 7 app.

To watch via Twitter, just click here – it's probably the only way you'll be able to watch legally from anywhere in the world, too.

You'll find the Channel 7 website here, but unless you're in Australia, or pretending to be in Australia by using a VPN, this streaming option is likely geo-locked to Australia only.

Download the Twitter app for iOS or Android to watch via the app, while the 7Live app for iOS is here, and for Android, it's here.

You'll likely find that various betting sites and apps also have a live stream available. If you're one who punts via an app, check it out, otherwise use either option above.

Good luck!
