One big criticism of the Foxtel Go app had been that it was only compatible with the Galaxy S3, Note 2 and Note 10.1 tablet, meaning only a handful of Android users could actually watch Foxtel on the go without hacking their phones or using a workaround.
Foxtel Go can now finally be enjoyed on the Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung GalaxyNote 3, Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (7.0) and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (8.0) along with the existing line up phones and smartphones as well as compatible Apple iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and iPad mini and PC and Mac computers.
The company, a 50-50 joint venture between News Limited and Telstra, has also added the Foxtel Go app to Google Play.
Foxtel also recently announced that subscribers can access up to five new channels on their compatible mobile devices with the addition of Nickelodeon, Nick Jr and MTV both live and on-demand as well as ESPN and ESPN2 live.
In addition, on 1 January, Foxtel Go will also feature the addition of Syfy, TVH!TS and the Universal Channel live and on demand, which will bring the total number of live channels available on Foxtel Go to 68 and 56 channels to on demand to kick off 2014
Foxtel Go is available for download from the Foxtel website, Samsung Apps, the App Store and Google Play.
