Don’t knock Presto’s frock on a rock of best Aussie one-liner GIFs

There’s no cock-up in the headline above, just inspiration from Presto’s Aussie GIFs of content you can watch just in time for Australia Day.

Although I’ve never seen Spock in a frock on a rock, I’ve never seen Spock in the Australian outback either - although I’m sure I’ve seen him on-screen in plenty of off world deserts.

Spock’s not very Australian, or rather, he’s not Australian at all, but there are plenty of Australian TV shows and movies available to celebrate Australia Day with on the Presto SVOD service.

Now, it’s all a bit of a stretch with Presto clearly seeking a bit of fun publicity, but it should come as no surprise to see Presto suggesting a bit of Aussie content as the best way to round out your Australia Day experience.

The company says that ‘when the last embers have gone out on the BBQ, the beaches have emptied and the doors of the pubs have closed, there’s nothing better than rounding off Australia Day celebrations than by enjoying some classic Aussie laughs.’

Of course, Presto squeezes in a suggestion that all this content is great to watch after Australia Day too by stating:

“To celebrate Australia Day, Presto has compiled a list of some of the most memorable lines and catchphrases from the best Australian TV shows and films, for those in need of some inspiration for what to watch at the end of the day, or the perfect remedy for the post-Australia-Day blues.”

That might be a sneaky way of referring to a post-Australia-Day hangover.

Anyway, Australian content includes Angry Boys, Black Comedy, Fat Pizza vs Houso, Home and Away, J’aime Private School Girl, Librarians, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, All Aussie Adventures (with Russell Coight), Summer Heights High, and Upper Middle Bogan, with all these and more ‘available to stream on Presto now, along with more home grown Aussie dramas, comedy and Aussie movies.’

Here’s some GIFs that Presto created to celebrate all these Australianisms, embedded below, please read on!
