Navman Wireless adds emissions reporting to GPS suite

By

Navman Wireless has added a fuel usage and CO2 emissions reporting suite to its GPS fleet management system.

Navman Wireless has been offering the OnlineAVL2 GPS fleet management system since 2010, and last year started offering it through Telstra's channels.

More recently, the company added an iPad app to the mobile options for using the system.

The latest development is the addition of a fuel usage and CO2 emissions reporting suite, helping organisations to manage these factors, which have come under increased scrutiny in some quarters following the arrival of the carbon tax - even though petrol, LPG and diesel are exempt and the overall effect of the tax on motoring costs will be almost non-existent.

Still, it doesn't hurt to know which of your drivers are using fuel inefficiently.

"From vehicle utilisation and control of fuel costs through to driver behaviour, organisations are poised to make better-informed decisions, leading to reduced CO2 emissions, improved fuel and maintenance costs, and increased customer satisfaction," said Ian Daniel, Navman Wireless's vice president Asia Pacific.
