SolarWinds introduces subscription pricing for on-premises apps

By

Global IT management software provider, SolarWinds, has announced the majority of its on-premises IT operations management products now have subscription-based pricing available.

SolarWinds is well-known among technology professionals for its network traffic analyser, log analyser, web performance monitor and other tools, including Loggly, Pingdom and Papertrail.

Perpetual licensing remains available for organisations where a capital expenditure and upfront purchase model makes sense, but the addition of subscription pricing now aids those organisations with an operating expenditure preference, and also for project teams with short-term needs.

SolarWinds says the challenges created by COVID-19 have amplified the need for products to be easy to buy, not only easy to use, and to fit the needs of any budget.

“As leaders worldwide reevaluate budgets to answer today’s challenges, this evolution in pricing across our IT operations management portfolio also directly responds to input from our IT pro community who need greater flexibility and a lower barrier to entry,” said David Gardiner, president, IT operations management, SolarWinds. “With subscription pricing, SolarWinds continues to fulfill its commitment to deliver simple, powerful, and affordable software to meet the needs of every organisation both where they are today—and where they’ll grow tomorrow.”
