BenQ unveils six business solutions at Computex 2017

BenQ has announced six retail, manufacturing, healthcare, transport, enterprise, and energy solutions using a mix of its hardware, software, and cloud.

Globally the Benq Group has 20 independent companies with more than 100,000 staff in 30 countries. It is a significant supplier of interactive flat panels, digital signage, speakers, smartphones, camera/camcorders, Android-based smart devices, LED lighting and e-sports performance products.

BenQ successfully broke into the smart retail market by offering complete smart digital signage solutions for businesses through the partnership with Chunghwa Telecom. It helped semiconductor manufacturers such as Sino-American Silicon Products incorporate smart energy efficiency services into their factories. In the smart healthcare sector, BenQ solutions include the MitBot and smart mattresses.

“Our six smart business solutions focus on breaking into domestic and international markets through cutting-edge technologies like IoT, big data, and cloud computing,” said T.L. Tseng, president of BenQ Business Solutions.

To further expand business opportunities for its robot arms, BenQ gradually directed smart manufacturing solutions to manufacturing powerhouses in both Taiwan and China. Its vehicle management solutions established a partnership with RAC Electric Vehicles Inc. by implementing the solutions into electric buses, guaranteeing a safer public transportation management.

The solutions offer BenQ a way to move forward from hardware.

Smart Retail  A streamlined and interactive food ordering process

BenQ’s smart retail solutions offer a software-hardware system integration service to satisfy retail owners’ needs to offer a one-stop shop model from automated order system, automated food delivery robot (DiBot) with route assessment capability, smart cashier system, and centralised content management system.

Smart Manufacturing

BenQ’s smart manufacturing solutions help to upgrade manufacturing. Apart from continuously devoting to services such as smart networked equipment monitoring and management (SCADA) and smart environment security management (SESM), BenQ also offers robotic automation solutions, which equip machines with advanced capabilities like optical inspection and visual positioning through big data analysis and IoT technology.

Smart Healthcare

BenQ’s automated delivery robot for hospitals, MiBot, can transport operating room wastes and equipment, which leads to reduced risk of cross infection, enhanced healthcare efficiency, and improved human resource management.

Additionally, smart mattresses can send monitoring data to mobile devices through IoT technology.

Smart Transportation

BenQ Business Solution applies its strength in IoT technology to smart applications such as analysing driving data, monitoring images, tracking the real-time position of vehicles, and monitoring the status of equipment in vehicles.

Security requirements such as confidentiality, integrity and authentication have become mandatory in most industries.

Data encryption methods previously used only by military and intelligence services have become common practice in all data transfer networks across all platforms, in all industries where information is sensitive and vital (financial and government institutions, critical infrastructure, data centres, and service providers).

Get the full details on Layer-1 encryption solutions straight from PacketLight’s optical networks experts.

This white paper titled, “When 1% of the Light Equals 100% of the Information” is a must read for anyone within the fiber optics, cybersecurity or related industry sectors.
