VIDEO: 16 days to 30iGala, Matt Tett and Anthony Bodin talk Internet history and innovation

By

The event of the decade approaches as tickets are nearly sold out for this landmark event which will see many of the luminaries of Australia’s internet community gather for a night of celebration and reflection.

Today, 30iGala event organiser Peter Coroneos spoke with internet innovators Matt Tett and Anthony Bodin about their start in the industry and what were the highlights of their careers.

This entertaining and instructive discussion also looks at the guy’s predictions for the future projecting forwards ten years if not thirty.

Watch the video below:

As we approach the 30th Anniversary of the Internet in Australia Celebrations, Peter sat down with tech innovators Matt Tett and Anthony Bodin to talk about some of the things they remember and look forward to.

The original article announcing the 30iGala event is here: "INVITATION: Celebrate 30 years of the Internet in Australia with a special Gala Dinner on October 31 in Sydney".

The following article was published earlier this week: "30iGala: Alastair MacGibbon to speak at Internet Gala Event, plus how to win a free ticket".

This was then followed up with "6 WEEKS until 30iGala: Peter Coroneos and Peter Price AM talk icode, the White House and Internet history".

After this came "30iGala - Remembering Internet history: Peter Coroneos video interviews Alex Zaharov-Reutt".

And this was followed up by: "5 WEEKS TO GO - 30iGala Net History: The Hon Michael Kirby AC CMG and the 'Four Parables of Regulating the Net'".

After this came "Five weeks to go: Alastair MacGibbon shares insights into the big lessons learned in 20+ years of cyber security leadership".

The video interview that came next is entitled: "VIDEO: 4 WEEKS TO GO until 30iGala as Michael Malone talks Net history highs and lows with Peter Coroneos".

Then Peter interviewed Australia's Federal Communications Minister, Paul Fletcher, entitled: "VIDEO: Comms Minister Paul Fletcher talks 30 Years of Aussie Internet history - 3.5 WEEKS TO GO until 30iGala"

This was followed up by Peter interviewing The Hon. Michael Kirby AC CMG, who noted Mr Kirby's optimism about the next 30 years of the Internet in Australia, his pioneering work on privacy principles in the 70s and plenty more you'll see in the video interview.

To learn more and attend the 30iGala event yourself, the event website is here - I hope you can make it on the night, and help make history celebrating a great milestone in Australia's online history - there are just 16 days to go before it all happens on the night of 31 October, 2019!
