Ricoh, a provider of “smart workplace technology”, is celebrating 50 years of physical presence in Australia with the launch of its Ricoh Small Business Competition, a “three-month long contest which will see five lucky businesses across Australia win an equal share of $50,000".
We are told that “each of the five winning small businesses will reap their choice of Ricoh Australia workplace products, services or solutions and a Ricoh workplace technology assessment which will empower them to plan, map and understand their digital transformation needs".
To enter, all that a business is required to do is “to simply state in 50 words or less what their digital challenges are and how Ricoh might help them navigate through solutions, such as collaboration technologies, automated business processes, information mobility and digitising paper-based documents and processes".
“How do they navigate through it? What do they need? How can they become more productive, collaborative and optimise interactions with their employees, clients and partners across local and global markets?
“Our purpose is to improve work life and this competition demonstrates our commitment moving forward to empowering the digital workplace. We look forward to continuing to provide both support and partnership to Australian small business through our innovative workplace technology solutions for another 50 years.”
Naturally, Ricoh proudly boasts that it has been operating in Australia for 50 years this year “and over this time the company has developed strong partnerships with Australian businesses by providing innovation and cutting-edge technologies to help improve productivity and collaboration".
The company has grown from its own small business beginnings, to employing in Australia alone, more than 900 staff across every state and territory, and works with many IT industry partners and channels to support Australian business.
On a global basis, the Ricoh Group impressively operates in “approximately 200 countries and regions”, and enjoyed worldwide sales of approximately US$18.2 billion in its financial year which ended in March 2017, so clearly the company has managed its own digital transformation and global growth, and so seems well qualified in this regard to help businesses in Australian and globally on their own journeys of digital transformation, business empowerment and customer satisfaction.
