The carriers expected to service the facility from or soon after its opening are AAPT, Nextgen Networks, Optus/UeComm, PIPE Networks, Primus Telecom, Telstra and Vocus. Public sector organisations Brisbane City Council, ENERGEX and CITEC each have dedicated fibre links to B1.
"Having access to as many diverse fibre providers at B1 is important for us and our customers," said NEXTDC founder and managing director Bevan Slattery. "To have the support and commitment of Australia's major network providers so early in our development cycle is encouraging and demonstrates that our model of independent cloud centres is one the industry is keen to embrace."
The company has also announced that both the PIP Networks and WAIX peering internet exchanges will be hosted at B1.
