Now in its third year, with a dedicated three-day conference summit, (increased by a third day), and with two days of optional satellite events, it's no surprise to see Intersekt 2018 proudly boasting it will be "better than ever".
The conference will be showcased in the Peninsula venue in Melbourne's Docklands, and will "explore what is unique about the Australian Fintech ecosystem, where we lead the world, and what the opportunity is for Australian Fintechs to take their rightful place in a global market".
Held by FinTech Australia, its chief executive Brad Kitschke says this year will "be the best ever", and states: "this year we are adding an extra day of the conference component and reducing ticket prices for start-ups so we can ensure as many from the ecosystem can attend with increased value."
"We are launching the EY FinTech Census, our own Open Banking campaign including a consumer facing animation, and much more. This year's event will focus on what makes our market unique, and how our fintech's can take their place as world leaders. The content at Intersekt is not likely to be replicated by any other conference and its the only event about our ecosystem focussing on our successes and launching our members onto the global stage,” Kitschke concluded.

FinTech Australia reports appointing Conference Online as its "Professional Conference Organiser (PCO) to ensure this year’s event is professionally managed and executed to the highest industry standards".
Here's how FinTech Australia describes this year's conference:
"The conference kicks off on the afternoon of Monday, 29 October, with the launch of the EY Fintech Census, a major key note address, and the official opening of the conference by The Hon. Philip Dalidakis Victorian Minister for Innovation and the Digital economy, followed by a welcome cocktail party."
Days two and three:
"Will feature keynote speakers, panel and plenary sessions, the launch of FinTech Australia's Open banking campaign and much more."
Start-up and investor matching:
"Start-ups will also have the chance to be matched with investors, through a curated Investor-match program. We will bring together investors and match them with Fintechs through a program of curated engagement. These conversations will be more than a simple pitch and could lead you to secure your next investor."
Secure a graduate or student to work in your start-up:
"Startups will be given the chance to match with graduates and students wanting to work in fintech through a program designed to match your needs with their skills."
"international delegations are welcomed and encouraged. Larger delegations will secure a place on the conference program."
"FinTech Australia has set aside the Thursday, 1st and Friday 2nd November to host satellite events for the conference. Where possible, we will work with Austrade and delegations to arrange meetings with policy makers, regulators or other bespoke activities."
Partnerships and sponsorships:
"With 500 delegates expected, and major media events like the launch of the EY Census, the Minister's address, and the launch of FinTech Australia's Open Banking Campaign, Intersekt has the potential to place your brand front and centre with an audience much larger than just those attending the conference."
The partnership prospectus is here.
"Early Bird tickets for Intersekt will go on sale in August. In the interim for any further information or to register your interest to be a speaker, international delegation, or for any other information visit the Intersekt 2018 site.
"Finally, for those needing a FinTech Australia refresher, the organisation bills itself as "the peak body for the Australian financial services, technology and innovation – Fintech industry."
The organisation states it was "founded by start-ups" and is itself "a start-up", working with "founders, start-ups, scale-ups and the Fintech ecosystem", representing "members and advocating for outcomes that facilitate the growth of the Fintech ecosystem with the goal of making Australia a leading Fintech market".
