If you're a talented Victorian designer keen to enter the Premier's Design Awards, you've just been given a week's extension to finish your work and enter, with the deadline extended to 26 July.

The Good Design Awards have been in operation for 60 years, bringing forth incredible design innovation each year, and is helmed by the esteemed folk at Good Design Australia.

One of the other awards that Good Design Australia operates is the Victorian Premier's Design Awards, with design a "strategic business capability and an important enabler of innovation and creativity for the growth of Victorian businesses and communities".

The Awards provide an opportunity for "businesses and the community to better understand the role of design in making products, services, spaces and experiences more functional, safe, efficient and attractive", and "help raise awareness of the impact design can have on productivity and business outcomes and the role it plays in helping to shape a better environment and society".

The Awards are free to enter and submissions are accepted across eight categories. Finalists and winners will be celebrated at the Victorian Premier's Design Awards Ceremony held in Melbourne in September this year.

The Awards recognise and celebrate the very best Victorian designers and businesses using design and design-led innovation to create better products, services, spaces and experiences. The Awards are judged by a panel of Australian and international design experts.

The categories are as follows:

1. Architectural Design
2. Communication Design
3. Design Strategy
4. Digital Design
5. Fashion Design
6. Product Design
7. Service Design
8. Tertiary Student Design
