NetComm to enable Hitachi energy monitoring systems

By

Global electronics company Hitachi has selected Australian Machine-to-Machine (M2M) devices and solutions provider NetComm Wireless (ASX:NTC) to enable its remote energy monitoring and management systems for international customers.

Designed to interoperate with mobile networks globally, NetComm Wireless' communications technology will allow Hitachi to enable the remote collection, management and analysis of energy data in real-time, facilitating the efficient use of energy resources worldwide.

"Hitachi is a world leading innovator with a longstanding commitment to address some of society's most demanding challenges and we look forward to working together to redefine the way that energy is managed,” said David Stewart, NetComm CEO and Managing Director, David Stewart.

"Japan is an important market for us. Our collaboration with Hitachi and Kanematsu Communications demonstrates our capabilities in engineering smart city technologies that can be scaled to support large rollouts globally.

“Our partnership approach is to work with leading innovators to help countries achieve their emissions reduction targets, and transform the future of energy."
