MuleSoft powers Village Roadshow for enhanced entertainment experiences

By

MuleSoft, a platform for building application networks, has announced that Village Roadshow, a leading entertainment company will deploy MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform to personalise entertainment experiences for customers across digital channels.

Geoff Spicer, group general manager, Technology and Services, Village Roadshow, said, “We believe that the Anypoint Platform is a better solution to custom code as we continue to enhance the entertainment experiences we offer to our customers which will help us build customer loyalty and derive greater value from IT assets.”

“We brought in Capgemini to help us evaluate alternative approaches to connectivity and ultimately decided on MuleSoft because of Anypoint Platform’s built-in security and monitoring capabilities and its hybrid functionality. Furthermore, MuleSoft has proven experience supporting high volume transactions from other well-known consumer-facing enterprises,” he added.

Village Roadshow was founded in Melbourne, Australia in 1954 and listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 1988. It now has a diversified portfolio of assets including Theme Parks, Cinema Exhibition, Film Distribution and Film Production, as well as promotion and loyalty businesses within the Marketing Solutions division.

Following a market review undertaken in conjunction with Capgemini, MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform was identified as the ideal solution. By taking an API-led connectivity approach, Village Roadshow can build an application network where applications, data, and devices on the network become pluggable and reusable.

MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform is a solution for API-led connectivity that creates an application network of applications, data, and devices, both on-premises and in the cloud. This hybrid integration platform includes iPaaS, ESB, and a unified solution for API management, design, and publishing. It is used by companies including Netflix, Spotify, StarHub, Airbus and more than 1000 others in 60 countries for cloud content serving.
