Destra Corporation has reported its first full year profit, $404,000 after tax on revenue of $15.739 million (up 73 percent). EBITDA was $1.229 million (up 534 percent).
CEO Dominic Carosa said: "We are on target to achieve a full year 2006 profit of over $1.2 million."
In the past 12 month Destra has integrated broadband business ISP Techex Communications, in October 2004, and the Destra hosting divisions, OzHosting.com Advanced and OzHosting.com, under the new brand of destra Business (the company eschews capitalisation of its name). destra Media, the company's digital convergent media division (incorporating destraMusic.com) "continues to perform beyond expectations".
"Our intention is to spin off our media assets into a separate public company that will ultimately be used as a consolidation vehicle for convergent Internet media and mobile content businesses," said Carosa.
