Ferrari races forward with Infor ERP

By

Iconic automotive manufacturer Ferrari has a considerable heritage, and so does its chosen ERP software.

Back in 1998, Ferrari adopted the Baan IV ERP software for its plant, covering the main production processes for sports cars, racing cars and spare parts.

Since that time, Baan (the company) changed hands several times, and is currently part of Infor.

Ferrari stayed with Baan IV for more than a decade, and it became a major part of the company's IT architecture. But times change, and last year it decided a migration to Infor's ERP LN was in order.

"Ferrari is a manufacturing icon, long held as the standard-bearer in quality production and class," said Enza Fumarola, vice president, Southern Region ERP Sales EMEA, Infor.

"The migration of its operations to ERP LN and the extension of Infor's partnership with Ferrari will enable us to play a large role in the company's continued excellence and growth through the support of all production stages - from production planning to process management, cost and quality."

The migration should be completed this summer.
