The Information Technology Contract and Recruitment Association (ITCRA) has enhanced its Business Knowledge series by including a stream of HR discussion topics in its phone and web-based HR support service 1300HRaaS.

ITCRA first introduced 1300HRaaS as an ‘on-tap’ service providing HR Support for its members when they need it – anytime and anywhere.

ITCRA CEO Julie Mills said as a result of the success of the service - supported by hranywhere - it now included stream of HR discussion topics.

“I am pleased to be able to offer the first of these webinars at no cost and open to anyone with an interest in contracting, recruitment and HR generally. The session will focus on what the language of flexible work, work life balance and other such statements mean for management, for the business and employees?

Mills said that according to the questions and concerns by organisations using the HR As A Service (HRaaS) advice line, “there are a number of approaches that need to be considered when dealing with the topic, both for employees and for the business, and this also needs to be considered in the context of the Fair Work Act and the definitions of flexible work practices.”

“The webinar will review the key Fair Work Act expectations, as they effect business generally, the impact on contracts and, more importantly the information everyone needs as an employer, an employee, a contractor and, in particular for recruiters, to ultimately be able to support clients when issues arise.”

Mills said the session will be presented by Martin Nally, founder and Managing Director of hranywhere.

She said Nally has been a HR practitioner for over 30+ years and has had senior roles with Pasminco Ltd, Kraft Foods, Mayne Group and Coles Myer Limited – “so his depth of knowledge and understanding of the needs of employers, employees, contractors and recruiters ensures a rounded understanding of the challenges of responding to the requirements of the Act.”
