Review – Evo Play iPad case from Tech21.com

By

If your children are like mine, they love their iPads. They also drop it, spill things on it, and cover it in food and grime. Here's where the Evo Play case helps out.

The Evo Play case is a brightly-coloured rugged protective case for the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini. I've actually found the iPad Air 2 case still fits quite fine on an iPad Air 1.

The case is made of FlexShock Foam and absorbs the impact of a drop from two metres.

It has thick padding which not only takes the shock, but protects the screen from impact when landing face down.

Despite being in a case, all the plugs, ports, buttons and cameras are fully accessible. I did not feel any constraints or difficulties plugging the iPad into power, or connecting a headphone, or adjusting volume or taking photographs.

The Evo Play case is dishwasher safe, so no matter how grubby your precious angels may be, the case can keep looking as good as new.

It comes with a strong handle that serves as a flexible stand so the iPad can stand up at a range of angles for easy use and view, without needing to be held. This can particularly come in handy if it is being used in the kitchen during cooking experiments.

The Evo Play case from Tech21 gives parents peace of mind that children can use an expensive tablet for all the creative and educational good possible, but remain protected from accidental harm whether at home, at school, outside, sitting on an easel off the ground, or wherever it may be.

The case is available in bright pink/purple and blue/green from tech21.com with an RRP of $79.95 for the iPad mini range, and RRP of $109.95 for the iPad Air 2. The site offers free shipping on orders over $60.

My daughter has been using a pink case and not only does she love the bright colour, I really like the confidence it gives me that her iPad is safe from accidents. Believe me, her iPad has been dropped, trodden on, banged, bumped, and so much more.

Tech21 has kindly made available some iPad Air 2 cases for iTWire readers. For your chance, send me an email, a tweet, leave a comment below, or otherwise let me know what the state of your current iPad case is and your colour preference.
