Tibco goes Cloud, adds Live Apps

By

Integration and analytics vendor Tibco Software has introduced Tibco Cloud and associated Live Apps for organisations that are completely cloud-based.

Tibco Cloud provides business users with self-service functionality, while Live Apps enables rapid delivery of smart business applications.

Based on the open-source Project Flogo, Tibco Cloud Integration Web Integrator allows line-of- business users and IT specialists to create lightweight applications with what the company calls "instinctive interfaces."

"Our new Live Apps and Tibco Cloud Integration Web Integrator offerings are proof of product innovation and a robust user experience-centric design, providing an intuitive solution for users," said vice-president of product management Rajeev Kozhikkattuthodi.

"This means we are not only able to reach new users, but also help new customers across vertical markets beyond our traditional base. We are empowering a broad set of users with self-service tools that promote digital experimentation so that IT can focus on more mission-critical enablers."

Tibco cited a December 2016 report from Forrester that noted "Supporting business experts with low-code tools helps take the 'rogue' out of rogue IT."
