Pega adds Kubernetes support

By

Customer engagement specialist Pegasystems now supports Kubernetes on AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Pivotal and Red Hat as part of its cloud choice guarantee.

The Pega cloud choice guarantee allows customers to migrate between supported cloud environments offered by the company and major cloud providers without penalty and with the assurance provided by reference architectures and Pega certification.

Pega has recognised the growing use of containerisation and the prominent part Kubernetes plays in cloud orchestration, and now supports AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Pivotal Container Service (PKS), and Red Hat OpenShift.

Pega cloud choice guarantee with Kubernetes extends to all customers currently operating on the current version of Pega Infinity.

"As organisations continue to turn to the cloud, they want a modern cloud architecture that gives them the flexibility and cost control needed to succeed in today's fast-changing markets," said Pegasystems CTO and vice president of product marketing Don Schuerman.

"Pega understands our clients have different needs, so we provide them powerful ways to manage their cloud deployments without taking any of their options away.

"By supporting containerisation with Kubernetes, we continue to provide the flexibility our clients need to run their applications while also future proofing their technology as they scale their business."
