Networking provider D-Link has decided to extend the free period for use of its managed service provider-specific Nuclias Cloud Managed Network Solution, which it offered on trial earlier this year.

A statement from D-Link said the payment-free trial was initially offered until the end of June given the challenging times. As there was no sign of any recovery yet, the company said free use would be extended until 30 September.

D-Link A/NZ managing director Graeme Reardon explained, "Nuclias Cloud is already different to most other solutions in this space as it is available to MSPs on a month-to-month basis with no lock-in contracts.

"That said, MSPs, like many other businesses, have been doing it tough recently, so whilst we see some signs of economic recovery, we'd like to continue to support our partners with this additional three months fee-free Nuclias Cloud Managed Network Solution subscription.

The cloud solution allows MSPs to help any business from small to very large to remotely set up, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and manage customers' network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi access points and network switches, across multiple sites around the clock.

The cloud solution is claimed to have the following benefits:

  • A regular revenue stream: Nuclias Cloud is a service platform that allows MSPs to bill their customers in the fashion that suits their business.
  • Month-to-month pricing: No lock-in contracts, and easy to manage cashflow forecasts.
  • Lower overheads: Easy to install, Nuclias Cloud can easily be managed remotely online.
  • Elevation of one's offering: Nuclias Cloud allows one to offer a better service.
  • Reliability and reputation: Nuclias Cloud offers high-performance access points and cloud-managed switches managed by a centralised cloud-based control system.
  • Fewer cost variables and competitive pricing: No long-term costs, no hidden extras, and no additional licence fees.
  • Easy to implement, maintain and grow: It is easy for an MSP's customer to grow and expand with linear fixed costs.

From October onwards, D-Link said the following hardware prices would apply:
