Kounta in a Box: just add tablet Featured

Cloud POS provider Kounta is making it easier for retailers to adopt its system by offering the Kounta in a Box bundle that just requires the addition of a tablet or smartphone.

Kounta in a Box costs $599 and comprises a Kounta subscription, an Epson receipt printer, a five-slot cash drawer, and a Wallee iPad Pivot stand.

It's not clear how long the initial bundled subscription lasts. Monthly prices are $50 for the first register and $25 for each additional register. A free trial of the software is offered.

An iOS app is available, and Kounta also works with smartphones, tablets and computers with HTML5 compliant browsers.

The Kounta POS system integrates with PayPal, MYOB, Saasu and Xero, among others.

"The growth of Kounta as a startup has been based off our flexible, scalable and affordable software," said general manager Josh Harrison.

"But we're also receiving increased demand from those who want a DIY 'Plug and Play' package, so we designed the simple, yet powerful, Kounta in a Box."

Earlier this year Kounta raised a fresh round of capital and welcomed Reckon founder Greg Wilkinson to its board.
