Reckon POS 2011/12 ships; adds appointment management

By

Reckon recently introduced the latest versions of its QuickBooks family of accounting software for SMEs, and has now followed up with Reckon Retail Point of Sale 2011/12.

Reckon released the 2011/12 versions of QuickBooks last month, and has now revealed the latest version of its POS software.

Reckon Retail Point of Sale (POS) 2011/12 includes an appointment manager feature, combining POS and customer management in one package.

Other new features include 'cash out' as an option for EFTPOS purchases, pre-set memos to help record orders with multiple options, and improvements to the program's table manager allowing easier table changes.

'With the new Appointment Manager feature, Reckon Retail POS now helps businesses manage their finances, payments, stock, promotions, clients and more all within the one point of sale system to help save time and improve record keeping. Appointments are now easily managed alongside resources or availability, and customer records can be retained,' said Reckon's group general manager, marketing, Gerald Chait.
