Panasonic boosts PBX capacity with firmware upgrade

By

New firmware for Panasonic KX-NCP500 and TDE200/600 IP PBX systems brings increased capacity and new features. And it's free, so what's not to like?

The version 5 firmware for Panasonic's KX-NCP500 and TDE200/600 IP PBX systems almost doubles handset capacity and adds new features.

With the upgrade, PT and DECT users can put out a call automatically to every phone in a desired group. Panasonic officials said this function is particularly useful for users in the hospitality and medical fields in emergency situations.

Other improvements to the TDE200/600 include increasing the queue length from 30 to 100 while allowing callers to leave a message instead of waiting in the queue.

"We are delighted to be able to deliver even greater capacity and features to our customers thanks to these fantastic upgrades including extended handset capabilities and greater flexibility for call centres as well as the hospitality and medical markets," said Matthew Connolly, product marketing manager - unified communications at Panasonic Australia.

The new firmware is available free of charge from Panasonic certified telecommunications resellers. Enquiries may be directed to IPL Communications on 02 9667 7000.
