NSW Businesslink opts for Adaptive Planning's cloud based business analytics

By

Adaptive Planning, a provider of cloud-based business analytics software has announced NSW Businesslink as a new client and has announced Adaptive Consolidation, a cloud-based solution for comprehensive close-and-disclose financial consolidations and analysis.

NSW Businesslink is a NSW Government organisation that provides outsourced business services to NSW Government bodies. Its main client is the Department of Family and Community Services, but it also works with other Government agencies, NGOs and directly with the community through the delivery of services such as background criminal checks, the Seniors Information Service and Seniors Card and the processing of applications for potential foster carers.

The Businesslink deal was won by Adaptive Planning reseller ABM Systems in response to an RFP from Businesslink. According to Adaptive Planning Australia managing director, Jeremy Bolton “The RFP requirements included planning, multi-year forecasting and the ability to integrate to SAP for financial and HR data. Adaptive Planning addressed those needs with a powerful, cost effective, and easy-to-use solution."

Adaptive Planning said the new product, Adaptive Consolidation, gave it an integrated cloud-based suite of products spanning corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence (BI): Adaptive Planning, Adaptive Consolidation and Adaptive Discovery.

Adaptive Discovery has its origins in software developed by Australian company, myDIALS, acquired by Adaptive Planning in September 2012. What was the Brisbane based R&D arm of myDIALS continues to operate as the R&D unit for Adaptive Discovery.

Speaking on the occasion of the myDIALS acquisition last year, John Herr, CEO at Adaptive Planning, said: "Data visualisation is the fastest-growing segment in business intelligence today. At the same time, cloud computing is the most important trend in enterprise software. By acquiring myDIALS … we are harnessing two incredibly powerful forces that strengthen our cloud CPM leadership and allow us to move rapidly into the broader BI market.

"What’s more, myDIALS is among the top rated BI vendors in customer service according to Gartner, which meshes well with Adaptive Planning’s consistent number one in customer satisfaction ratings among CPM vendors by other industry analysts.”
